In terms of the overall design, there is not too much change in the new Acer Swift 3 laptop apart from a few little changes here and there.

However, Acer has upgraded the internal components to ensure that the device is capable of providing great performance for web surfing and email purposes.

The best thing about this device is that it is made out of aluminum as compared to other similar laptops under the same price tag which comes with a plastic build.

The Acer Swift 3 definitely fuse like a premium device, especially with those smooth but sturdy edges and corners. The only plastic part in the whole device is the bottom cover which is bolted into the base and can be opened easily for maintenance or any upgrades.

This Acer Swift 3 provides you with top-notch build quality and we haven’t found any uneven gaps for the manufacture of faults. Since it is made out of metal the body doesn’t flex especially the base unit even the display lid stays firm.

Unlike the previous model this time Acer has equipped it with two separate hinges on either side instead of the one big mono hinge. They hold the display in place very well and don’t let it wobble too much.

That is play it features is a 14 inches full HD 1080p panel with anti-glare coating on it. The keyboard of big keys with clear pressure points and short travel distance. Which makes typing an enjoyable experience even if you have to do it for longer periods of time.

The trackpad on the other hand is decently big and wide and there is also an integrated fingerprint reader just below the keyboard on the right side.

  • Slightly Heavy
  • WebCam is Average

We have reviewed some of the best convertible 2-in-1 laptops by HP and this new HP Envy is simply no exception. It is a premium flagship laptop that is made out of aluminum entirely which makes the overall design pretty attractive.

Under this price range, there are not many laptops you could find that offer the same high build quality especially if you want to use one for the purpose of web surfing and doing emails.

As compared to other similar convertible laptops the new HP Envy is not too heavy and also at the same time at offers a slim and sleek design which makes it compact and portable.

You can take it anywhere you go with you easily without stressing your back while traveling or working on the go. That display is attached to two solid Hinges which keeps it in the desired position pretty well and doesn’t like to wobble too much.

In fact, this laptop requires strong Hinges like this since it is a convertible laptop and you will be going to use it in tablet mode as well. The hardware it offers provides great performance and you can use it for work purposes as well alongside web surfing and doing emails.

The battery backup is also pretty decent considering the size of this laptop. That played feature is full HD 1080p so which is also bright enough to enable you to use it in any outdoor lighting condition.

The keyboard includes a numeric pad and it is pretty comfortable to use even for longer periods of time

3. HP 14

“Vibrant & Attractive Design”

HP 14 Laptop, AMD 3020e, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB eMMC Storage,...
  • Display: 14″ HD 1366 x 768 Touch
  • Processor: AMD 3020e, 2-Core, 2.6GHz
  • Graphics Card: AMD Radeon Integrated
  • RAM & Storage: ‎4 GB, ‎64 GB EMMC
  • Operating System: Windows 10
  • Battery Backup: Up to 9 Hours
  • Decent Performance
  • Great Battery Backup
  • Good Connectivity
  • Attractive Colors
  • EMMC Storage
  • Tight Space

HP stream is one of the most compact and portable laptops however with few compromises. Although for the purpose of web surfing and doing email the HP stream packs enough power to do that job seamlessly.

However, it would have been so much better if HP would have equipped this HP stream with an SSD instead of EMMC storage. Under this price range, we cannot complain much but the thing is there are few similar laptops under the same price tag which offer an SSD.

Anyhow it is what it is and if you are ok with the EMMC memory of only 64 GB the laptop is the best deal for you. We have always liked the bright and vibrant colors of the HP Stream lineup of laptops.

With the sleek design and compact aesthetics these attractive colors definitely made some head turns towards you when you are using it in a public place.

Connectivity is surprisingly good and better than what we have thought, in this slim and portable laptop you even get an integrated SD card reader.

It is a feature that sometimes you don’t find in the more expensive laptop these days. The touch display it features is HD 720p which in our opinion should have been at least HD Plus.

But again under this price tag, we cannot complain too much. Sofa the display is pretty decent however it could be frustrating the news in outdoor lighting conditions from some viewing angles.

Battery backup on the other hand is great you don’t have to worry about recharging it while traveling or working on the go.

4. HP 15

“Value For Money Device”

HP 2023 15.6 HD Laptop for Business and Student, AMD Ryzen 3...
  • Display: 15.6″ FHD 1920 x 1080 Ultra-Wide
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 3250U, 4-Core, 3.5GHz
  • Graphics Card: AMD Radeon Graphics
  • RAM & Storage: 16 GB, 1 TB SSD
  • Operating System: Windows 10
  • Battery Backup: Up to 9 Hours
  • Value For Money
  • Spacious SSD Storage
  • Good Connectivity Options
  • Lightweight & Portable
  • Display is 720p
  • Slight Flex in The Body

HP has used a combination of metal and plastic for the builder of this 15 inches laptop, as compared to the previous model HP has also done some upgrades in the design.

In the previous model, the speaker’s grill was right above the keyboard which has now been replaced from there. Because of the fact that it is a 15.6-inch laptop and build with a combination of metal and plastic, there is a slight flex in certain areas.

You don’t have to worry about it but at the same time, you don’t expect it in a device from a brand like HP. Anyhow at the back of the display lady will find the HP monogram sitting in the center and apart from that they are no other fancy elements there.

This seems fine because it is a budget device and its main purpose of it is maximum productivity. It comes equipped with an AMD multi-core processor which provides it enough power to do web surfing and emailing seamlessly.

On top of that, it offers two storage devices a 256 GB SSD and a 1 TB HDD. HP had an idea that with only 256 GB of SSD storage the space will be tight unlike other manufacturers they also included a hard disc.

When you open the display lid you will find an HD 720p display panel. The brightness and picture quality is fine but HP would have offered at least an HD plus display here.

The battery backup on the other hand is excellent considering the fact that it is a big-size laptop.

5. ASUS VivoBook

“Excellent Connectivity Options”

ASUS 2020 Newest VivoBook 15.6" Full HD Laptop AMD Ryzen 7...
  • Display: 15.6″ FHD 1920 x 1080 LED
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 – 3700U, 4-Core, 4.0GHz
  • Graphics Card: ‎AMD Radeon RX Vega 10
  • RAM & Storage: 12 GB, ‎512 GB SSD
  • Operating System: Windows 10
  • Battery Backup: Up to 9 Hours
  • Excellent Performance
  • Comfortable Keyboard
  • Decent Connectivity Options
  • Lightweight & Compact
  • Build Out of Plastic
  • Very Basic WebCam

The ASUS VivoBook is made out of plastic but it gives you the illusion of metal built because of the dark grey color scheme. However, the build quality is excellent and we have not noticed any uneven surfaces or manufacturing faults.

Everything seems well put together and again the color scheme makes it look more elegant and stylish. At the back of the display lid in the center, you will find the printing of the manufacturer, and other than that there are no fancy textures or styling elements.

When you open the display lid it lifts the device slightly to provide better airflow to the internal components. At this tilted angle, typing becomes more convenient and enjoyable at the same time.

Under this price tag, the ASUS VivoBook is one of the best options for Surfing the web and doing email. The display it features is a full HD 1080p panel which also offers anti-glare coating.

It enables you to work in any outdoor lighting conditions without any problem. The numeric pad is included in the keyboard and the overall typing experience is pretty comfortable.

Just like many latest laptops it also features a Keyboard that is integrated into the base unit instead of being a separate panel. We were pleased to find out that the trackpad it features is very big and wide.

That enables you to use the gesture controls feature more conveniently since there is a lot of space. Despite the fact that it is equipped with a decently big display the battery backup is still pretty good and more than enough for your web surfing purposes.

6. HP Pavilion Laptop 2022

“Excellent Hardware Specifications”

HP Pavilion Laptop (2022 Model), 15.6" HD Display, Intel...
  • Display: 15.6″ HD 1366 x 768, BrightView
  • Processor: Intel Celeron N4120, 4-Core, 2.6GHz
  • Graphics Card: Intel UHD Graphics 600
  • RAM & Storage: 16 GB, 1 TB SSD
  • Operating System: Windows 11
  • Battery Backup: Up to 8 Hours
  • Spacious SSD
  • Great Performance
  • Stylish & Elegant
  • Vibrant Colors
  • HD 720p Display
  • Speakers Are Average

The Pavilion series of laptops by HP is the budget line up however they still offer pretty good specifications and features. We do like the new Bright colors schemes HP has introduced for Pavilion laptops.

Since it is far better than the traditional silver and light grey colors. If we talk about the build quality of this laptop under this price range it seems excellent. Although it is made out of plastic it feels solid and we have not noticed any uneven surfaces.

The connectivity options are also pretty decent despite the fact that it offers a slim and sleek design. Which enables you to connect all of your essential devices with ease.

On the other hand, we were disappointed to find out that it offers an HD 720p  display panel instead of a full HD 1080p. However for the purpose of web surfing and emailing it is more than enough but it is also a fact that some other rival laptops offer full HD 1080p display under almost the same price tag.

Under the Hood, it features an Intel Celeron with Squad for capabilities. Specs include 16GB of memory and one TB of SSD  storage space. Because it is a 15.6-inch laptop it features a full-size keyboard included in the numeric pad.

The keyboard is comfortable to type since it offers big-size keys with clear pressure points and small travel distances. The trackpad offers physical click button vision all honesty better than touch clicks.

Battery backup on the other hand is decent but we have reviewed some laptops in the same budget segment which offer comparatively better battery timing.

7. ASUS ZenBook S13

“Elegant & Gorgeous”

ASUS ZenBook S13 Ultra Thin & Light Laptop 13.9” FHD,...
  • Display: 13.9″ FHD 1920 x 1080 NanoEdge
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-8565u, 4-Core, 4.60 GHz
  • Graphics Card: ‎NVIDIA GeForce MX150, 2 GB
  • RAM & Storage: 8GB, 256GB NVMe SSD
  • Operating System: Windows 10
  • Battery Backup: Up to 15 Hours
  • Premium Build
  • Excellent Productivity
  • Lightweight & Portable
  • Different Variants
  • Average Speakers
  • Arrow Keys Feels Cramped

The case of the ASUS ZenBook S13 is made out of magnesium alloy which makes it a very high-quality and premium laptop. It features a very slim and lightweight design within aesthetics, it can be carried around easily wherever you go since portability is excellent.

Although it is available in many color schemes our review unit was in blue color which in our opinion makes it look more elegant. The surface of the laptop is slightly rough which is good since it prevents the device from catching fingerprints and smudges.

The border around the display on either side is very thin but the bottom and top borders are comparatively taken which kind of feels out of place with the thin and sleek design of this device.

Like other ASUS devices, it features the traditional lift hinge design which the manufacturer called ergo lift. It not only makes typing more convenient for you by tilting the keyboard slightly but also provides better airflow to the internal components.

The displayed feature is a full HD 1080 p panel however you can also get this laptop with an OLED display panel. Do remember that the OLED display variant of the ASUS ZenBook S13 drains the battery more quickly as compared to this variant.

While opening and closing the display lid we didn’t notice any unusual noises which indicate the excellent build quality. The keyboard it features is not a separate panel instead it is integrated into the base unit.

But at the same time, it is very comfortable to type change the keys are big with clear pressure points.

Under this price range, it is undoubtedly the most premium laptop as compared to two other convertible devices. On top of that, it comes in various color schemes, the one we liked the most was the ice blue shade.

It is what you can get in the closest Windows laptop to make book kind of build quality. With that being said manufacturers haven’t sacrificed internal components either, it outperforms many of their competitors by providing excellent performance for day-to-day tasks.
